EXPERIENCE THE GOODThere is a time and a place for dealing with our distresses; however, we often overindulge this part of our experience. It's time to give some love to the other half of the equation. Celebrate the good. Celebrate your joys. Celebrate the life you have right now. Stop working towards something and sink into what is right here and now. Come celebrate yourself and your current life. What are you proud of? What brings a smile to your face? How hard have you worked to get here? Celebrate all of it!
TUNE INTO YOUR HEART
This isn't about hedonism or denial. It's about giving your heart the mic with no interruptions. There is a part of your experience right now that lives in love, compassion, safety, joy, and ease. There is a true place within you where you can settle into your own warmth to learn and grow. Return to and deeply sit with this part of your spirit. Come home and take a break. Talk, listen, and share from here.

RETURN TO A PLACE
OF PLAY
A DIFFERENT KIND OF THERAPY
Evolution has trained us to focus on "the bad". As I walk to the watering hole on the beautiful sunny day, my survival depended on me looking out for the tigers and not deeply feeling and breathing in the sunshine. We continue today to be neurologically designed to bring our attention to what's wrong or could go wrong and move quickly through what's right. This deeply effects how we interpret and experience our worlds. It leads us to waste time and energy focused on fear-based thinking. Thankfully, this design can be altered through practice.
Traditional therapy uses the unconscious and our distresses to gather information, heal, and grow. Although there is a place for this type of work, joy equally has information for us to learn from and resourcing from which to grow. In fact, joy has a particular point of view towards ourselves and our worlds that can only be gleamed from its eyes. For one hour a week take the time to return to the good. For one hour a week look at, explore, and celebrate your true joys. For one hour a week remind yourself that the scales aren't simply balanced against you but there is a whole lot of wind at your back as well. Your current life as it exists today holds your growth from the past, it holds the compass to your future, and it holds genuine moments of comfort, joy, connection, love, and light. Speak them out loud and be witnessed. Learn and grow and be from this place.
